I’m looking for a (patch) for ATI red eon 8500 for the VCR. I want to preserve my VHS collection on disc, but am running into the VIDEO GUARD and it won’t let me copy it onto my hard drive… I downloaded all the new drives for it because I upgraded my CPU to a pen4 2.0gig W/533 ft bus. I’m not looking to sell them I just want to preserve my video collection onto disc. Anyone have any Ideas? Also have hp DVD- writer.

No Audio with Video from VCR to PC

Ok here goes, I am trying to turn home video into internet format from VHS, via my VCR. My VCR is an older one with the (yellow video/white audio), but no red audio line. However the adapter for my puter has all three(yellow, white and red.) I am able to get the video but no audio. Once I get it on my puter I can change it to Internet viewable, but need the sound with it.

Puter stats re: Dell packing slip:

I'll assume you've fiddled with the lines, interchanging them every which way, right? OK.

Go to the lower right of your screen, next to the time, and look for the speaker icon. Right click it and (open volume control). click the options, then properties, then in the adjust volume for playback/recording, click recording and make sure the line in is checked, click OK and select line in and you can try and turn the volume up if its not.

Also, its easier to make a new thread when asking a totally new question, it lets people know there's a new question instead of an old one they've already looked at. No problem, just FYI. You can make a new thread or just use this one for now, But you might get more responses by making a new one. Try the volume stuff first, though.
