Want to record video from cameras to external drive?

    I have some dinky security-style cameras. I think they output via RCA but I can't remember. I'd like to have it to where they could record through some device to an external USB drive. Could use a computer but it wouldn't be optimal. I've looked into security DVRs but not sure if that's what I'd need. Any thoughts or suggestions for a newb? Thanjs
