War of the world ending possible spoilers, discuss if you have seen it

Hi all, i went to WOTW yesterday and man that movie rocks, but unfortunately like all movies from today, they had to kill the end.

WOTW is no exception for me, unless anyone can explain me WHY the movie had to end that way because i don't understand it

If you know why, you can also PM it to me if you don't want to spoil it here...

 

Want to see it soon, but it will be packed since I live in a one movie theatre town. The trailors look great, I'm not a cruise fan, but I think this might change me.

 

How does it compare, storywise, with the original movie, that I have on DVD, starring Gene Barry. I realise that the special effects are light years ahead of the old movie. Do they go overboard to the detriment of the story? Bazza

 

Just seen it and criminelis

They done has the original in the original they dies of a cold or virus.

And they where a lot of scene from the original in the new movies.....

I give it 7/10.

 

What is it you don't understand about the ending? Morgan Freeman says that a billion deaths had earned us the right to be immune, but the invaders had no immunity, therefore they were doomed from the moment they landed.

I thought the movie was unsatisfying, like one long chase using special effects to wow us. It had some spectacular scenes, but in the end, not enough of a story. Thumbs sideways from me...
