I don't think that's an accurate summation of history? For one his biggest asset was that he was a showman his shows amazed people from around the world rewarding him with huge amounts of fame.

His hobby was his work so he reinvested every penny 'A lot of penny's' he had looking for the next big thing which he thought was wireless power transmission, as we now know it was not.:-D

His invention of AC changed the world and he didn't receive everything he deserved for that but the guy was definitely 'out there' and he's one on my biggest heroes, awesome story.

 

I find his eccentricity his most endearing facet.

Well, that and without him there may not have been RC cars, boats, and planes!!

It would have been amazing if he came up with the rectenna as well.

But, he did plenty as is stands.
