warhammer 40000 dawn of war compatibility question

Im looking to buy the Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War series.

I was wondering if it would play on a Vista OS. On the system req's i have looked at on the web it says Windows XP for the OS, however on one of my games i have (Star Wars Empire at War) it says the required OS is XP but it does work on my Vista.

So can someone please tell me if this game will work on Vista.
