Ok i have been having issues with intel(R) I121 Gigabit Network connection lately. The Advance settings i don't like to mess with but i have too.My Speeds have been getting Majorly Throttled by this device.I have had my ISP Technician come out twice and every thing is ok on the modem.

Even my Phone is getting 87.7 Mbps download and 10.7 Upload.

So there is nothing wrong with my modem.

I Kept getting any where between 22Mbps and 15Mbps.

So i adjusted my advance settings and Got this back up to where it's suppose to be level.

    This is what i adjusted.

First Go to Control Panel/Network and internet/Network Connections.

This Page below should pop up. Capture.PNG

Right click on your Ethernet icon. Then left click onto properties.

This page below should pop up.

Keep Client for Microsoft Networks Highlights in Blue or gray. All you need to do is left click.

Then left click on Configure top right.

It might ask if you wish to proceed Click Yes.

Now you will see this new page open.

You have a garbage network adapter if you believe this is the cause of you being throttled.....replace it!
There should be no need to mess with advanced settings, unless your running a specific area network.

Software speed tests are not my cup of tea, as your almost guaranteed not to get the advertised speeds you signed up for.
But this can depend on a lot of factors on both sides of the gateway.

    So true.
More often than not, the advertised speeds are the modem's capability.
Mine is 42 Mbps and yet the best I've gotten is 20 Mbps. 9 out of 10 times it goes no higher then 6-8 Mbps.

I am still trying to figure out the issue here.

I have never run into these issues with Ethernet port.I think the modem it self is fine.

Running Test. On Speed & Duplex issues.

When i select 100Mbps Full Duplex it's speed is this.

    Capture.PNG

But When i select Auto Negotiation The Speed is this.

Here is a test with 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex

    Capture.PNG

So Apparently there are major issues going on with Windows and 100Mbps settings If i go with 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex I get a lower Ping by like 2 ms.I have never run into such a problem like this.

And on top of that Windows 10 is Capping internet usage in group policy by 80% and i just found this out. That is the default settings WTF.
    Capture.PNG

Even Windows 7 at most capped it at 20%.

Just leave it at 1GB duplex before you mess something else up.

    Seems to be stable currently.

Another few adjustments had to be made through CMD.

The only problem with Windows is that because its so widespread, it will naturally attract those who have little clue, and should be reading books instead. :)
If you cant read, I suggest Lego!

So after a couple of days my Speed-test still shows this.:D

So it seems i have fixed the problem. Not sure if it was Hardware related or the Crappy software that this motherboard uses.
