If you use speccy as a Temp tool for AM3 build it will read correct temp's.But when it comes to Ryzen builds it will give you the incorrect CPU temp.Even with a aftermarket cooler installed. While the reset of my system is around 30 C,It's stating the cpu is 107 C/

mine is showing incorrect temps aswell. On Speccy it's stating temp is around 70C but in bios is running 35C

FYI - Speccy has had known issues with reporting incorrect temperatures going back over 5 years now (both AMD and Intel processors). I get the impression that Piriform just doesn't care enough to fix it.

Core Temp and HWInfo should give you more accurate readings.

And now that Piriform is owned by Avast, it'll go down the toilet just like CCleaner.

Details + x64 version or not. Ever tried contacting any devs to ask them to test and patch?

What about Core Temp? That program's main job is to read your CPU temperature correctly.

The Speccy devs have know about this problem for years. Nothing was ever done.

I was replying to the previous post, about HWinfo. Also, Speedfan has been recorded as triggering BSODs in earlier versions.

@Wile, mention it at the forum: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/ There's also a later Beta 6.21-4040 version, maybe it incorporates a relevant patch: https://www.fosshub.com/HWiNFO.html

Screenshots and details of perceived differences, including Windows uptime, might be useful - include Windows Power settings as well, they might be relevant. There's probably a page in the UEFI where you can customise the fan settings curve, too.
