When you get a Hotmail Plus account, they enroll you to be automatically billed each year.

I cancelled before my due date and got a confirmation number.

Then out of the blue, I got an overdraft letter from my bank, demanding that I pay the past due charges on my credit card, a further investigation revealed it was MSN that billed me.

I called MSN and tried to get them to credit me the charges back to my Visa, nuh uh.

So I cancelled my account AGAIN, got a confirmation number, the next week I get a letter from my bank, MSN had billed me for ANOTHER year of Hotmail.

I got angry, called MSN, cussed them black over the phone, then mid-paragraph figured out I was wasting my breath.

So... I paid the fee to my bank, $40 with late fees, AGAIN.

Only this time I had them deactivate the credit card, I even called them again just to confirm it was deactivated PERMANENTLY.

We'll see if that works, maybe those stupid smacktards at the Microsoft billing department (which from the accent of the woman on the phone, must be smack dab in the middle of the jungles of Vietnam) get a CARD DECLINED message next time they try and fraudulantly bill me, they'll remember to close the account correctly this time.

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, interestingly enough, email from just about any other ISP or mail service winds up in the Hotmail spam box, while all the pr0n spam finds it's way through unchecked, real great filter system you F*CKS!!!!!!!!

Hotmail users are on an information island because of this, courtesy of the tricks MSN learned from AOL and expanded on, so screw em anyway.

I will NEVER use Hotmail again.

I've had hotmail, the free one for four or five years....and just in the last month, they raised the amont's....from a little 10 MB, to 250mb, and still for free........and I use opera to surf the web, I have a dsl, with sbc........about, the time hotmail went to a bigger email file size, I looked at the yahoo dsl email, and on that one I get 2gb's, and up to eleven accounts..........as long as hotmail stays free, I don't care..........I try not to spend any money on a service, when possable...........wobbles

IP - did you dispute the charges as unauthorized when they were first billed to your credit card after cancelling Hotmail?

That should have been your first move. Credit cards are designed to provide this very measure of protection.
