Warning: Parental Bragging

So, this weekend my nine month old, Evan, learned a few new tricks...

First... on Saturday: He took his first steps! It was so unexpected that we didn't have a camera on or anything! He was using his walker for balance, and pushing it (which he's been doing for a while) then he threw it out of the way and took 3 steps to the couch to hug me! We set it up again, and got the second steps on video.

Second, in his endeavor to walk, he's been walking along furniture for quite some time. (Since about 6 months or so) and hasn't yet realized he doesn't actually NEED to hold on. But, in his head, he does. So I spend all this afternoon, essentially messing with him... standing him up and handing him something, so he's "holding on" and I got him, on tape, unable to stand up without holding something and able to with my cell phone in his hand

Hehehe, my sons(twins) would only walk if they were together at that age, holding each other up.:-D Quite cute and funny Wenchie. You all are lucky to have cameras to preserve all those precious memories.

 

Oh, I do anyway. He's been crawling since 6 months and he does stairs. Can't turn your back on him

 

Ah!, so Evan is taking his first 'walks'. Cute, Wenchie!:cool

 

I skipped the the videos 'being a guy and all and well babies,you know' but I ended up smiling all the way through them.

I might end up breeding after all:-D

Since when did this thread become about me anyhoo :-D Lets face it the chances of me making a kid like Wenchie's are slimmer than Nicole Richie in a vice.

A girl would have to knock on the front door,drag me away from the computer and force herself on me and I don't think that has happened in the history of mankind-D And if a girl ever knocked on the door and said "The baby's yours." I'd sue her for taking advantage of me in my sleep:confused
