Water and gas do not mix, or do they?

Its been posted before, the story is real but the electricity used to split the water into hydrogen and oxygen is greater than the energy output you get from burning it once its been split.

If you see the box he has is just an electrolysis tank you have to plug into the AC,he actually gets worse gas mileage in his hybrid car than using gasoline alone due to the energy it takes to split the water

It looks to me like a crappy scam video to try and get people to invest in it,snake oil:D

I tend to agree, I'm interested in the exact chemical layout (if there is one). If such a chemical exists it would and could have a lot of uses, energy transport is big business, just ask the electric company. I'd also be interested in stability of HHO. Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is pretty unstable if concentrated, but it makes a pretty decent rocket fuel. Off the shelf it comes as a 2% solution.

Electricity can be one of the cheapest energy sources on or off the earth, if it were handled correctly. Things like satellite solar power, or wind/tidal energy, haven't been scratched significantly. Something like HHO would be a good replacement for the fledgling hydrogen economy, with none of the disadvantages.

Having said all that, something doesn't ring true with that story, ignoring the fact it is on a joke site.

Hahaha Exactly what the lady says at the end. Just hope water doesn't start to cost 2.50 per gallon! lol

Doing the research, the story is for real. It is my personal belief it is a scam though, I checked Wikapedia only to find any entries removed (and there was a previous entry). There is a company who shall remain nameless (I have no interest in being sued, which the CIO of this nameless company has a rep for). There is an older variation of this scheme called Brown's gas. Near as I can figure it is a mix of 18% hydrogen and 82% oxygen, almost explosive but not quite. I notice not once source had a molecule model drawing, think everyone has seen the one for water. HHO indeed.

Too bad, it would be nice for something new like that.
