I'm posting this here partly because this is one of the greatest songs of all time, but also because this is one of the best versions of it I have ever heard.

I have a lyrico-musical pathology that makes me incapable of listening to a song without paying attention to the lyrics, and the original has always freaked me out because the two singers (Paul & Art) were way too calm and subdued for the kind of world/scenario lyrics are describing. These two remedy that. Beautifully.

 

This only 7 yrs ago but the song takes me back about 30. A two man show if ever-

Long hard ride on the trip home tonight. Caught this on Classic Rock 95.9 out of Panama City. Good back in 73 and still good today.

Amazing Tune

 

You won't hear this on the radio much if ever. There's live versions out there but this studio version is more clear. One helluva piano player. Couple helluva guitar players.

 

An old James Gang tune re-mix from Godsmack. Next up on ytbe is 'Come Together' another good re-make.

 

Because it's actually a very sweet song.

Then I played another old favourite and before you know it........... it was an Eskimo Joe fest

 

Heard Led Zeppelin's version tonite. Looked it up and got the original from 1929. Not Zeppelin's song really. Here's a good Zeppelin remake and these people are good! End of song gives credit to original also. Always like harmonica in a rock song. Oh - I did get copy with freemake - enjoy

A line in here - "I never sleep until I fix what's broken" made me think of geeks.

 

Listen to this song i never heard it be for and it's from the 80's the years i was born in.I think it's pretty funny.

 

Heard this on a road trip this morning(work). Couldn't get it out of my head all day!

 

I'd like to dedicate this to a couple of MG's here - (you know who you are). The irony is how close the words are to today since it was written some 40 years ago.
