Recent events bringing up memories of old songs, this one performed by many artists from the 1950's up till modern times. And Texas has been hit bad times before now. At the turn of the 1900's I think 3 times in 4 years, 2 years back to back!

Tom Petty, a legend and musical icon, is no longer among us. The heavenly chorus just got a little better... Tom, we miss you, and we thank you for all the music you shared with us.

 

All the things happening lately, weather, quakes, talks of war, Amber Alerts, people missing, people passing away - known and unknown, acid attacks, gun attacks, car attacks-- you name it -- keeps me feeling kind of strange. Heard this today and it just kinda relaxed my mood for a moment. One of the great things about music!

 

A friend turned me on to this 'cover band' a couple years ago. Found this on a list of 25 songs they do that might be better than the original. Boyce Avenue

 

I saw Boyce Avenue when they came to Australia with no advertising except on You Tube and I bought advance tickets from their website. I turned up to the small venue to be told they had been shifted to a venue 10 times the size because they sold so many tickets.
It was an amazing concert and Alejandro Manzano and his brothers Fabian and Daniel were in fine form. If they are performing near you go see them as the tickets are really cheap because they are not paying for promotional advertising and they pass on these savings by having cheap tickets. Usually a name US act performing over here in Australia is well over AU$200 per ticket (over here Bruce Springsteen tickets were between AU$459 and AU$949 a ticket) and Boyce Avenue for "A" Reserve (dearest tickets) were $59 per ticket..... a bargain

They're amazing! All songs on YouTube in the tens of millions views, Some in hundred millions. And all made to seem so easy. Naturals! A good one for today -

 

i love them too since their early days. i haven't had the pleasure of seeing them.

 

Their videos are great but they are even better live. If you ever get the opportunity then go and see them. I am waiting for them to come back to Australia to see them again but I don't think it will be so cheap the next time they come.
