Strictly see it in device manager, but not in Disk Management, see http://imgur.com/92YoLhD
It happened after reformatting the drive from FAT32 to NTFS (I need to connect it to a TV that cannot NTFS).
btw I have with this disc problems from the beginning when I bought it. I don't see it but hw errors rather a problem with the driver. The WD site has no driver, for W7, winupdate not find anything. Any advice what to do?
    thx for the help

    Hi Peter

First thing I would suggest is in Device Manager scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controllers and right click and uninstall the USB Mass Storage Device (make sure the WD Passport is the only removable device in the PC at the time)

Then unplug the WD and reboot and plug it back in, the drivers should be re-installed again for this device, then check Disk Management and My Computer.

If its then seen in Disk Management then if needed Activate it (by right clicking and choosing the option) and formatting to the file format you need.

*the drivers for devices like these are inbuilt in Windows as a core set of drivers, they are not generally specific to a disk drive.
