    2001 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD, standard cab, short bed, Ford Vulcan 3.0 liter V-6 conencted to a Mazda 5-sp manual overdrive. Last summer I got up to 28.4 mpg empty. But now maybe 22 mpg with 500 lbs of sandbag over the rear axle. Was going to take it for a drive today as the roads are in better condition, but it's so clean and shinny yet.

    Still having problems with leaking auto transmission fluid in my car. I cannot see where it's going. Have a new gasket on both the oil pan and valve cover. New lines going between the transaxle and the radiator. The half shafts are dry. Unless it's leaking into the coolant. :confused
