Web Cam problem

I recently bought the Logitech QuickCam IM camera. Unfortuneately I wasn't happy with it, so I returned it and picked up the Quick Cam Pro 4000. I just recieved it today, and MAN it's GREAT. The quality is so much better, and brighter!

Though I am having one problem . . . For some reason, when ever I try to do an IM video conference, my computer just reboots. . . Once It trys to connect to each other, my computer reboots.

The funny part is, this hasn't happened with the QuickCam IM camera, but HAS happened vefore when someone tried to voice conference me in MSN.

I DO however have he ATI TV Wonder VE card installed on my computer. Do you think that this could be the problem? I do know that before I had any web cam, if someone tried to voice conference me with MSN, it would run me through the set up, and ask me if I wanted to use the TV Wonder VE . . . but I oculdn't choose no, . .. only yes. When I did that, my computer would reboot as well.

However, with AIM this NEVER happened. The first time I tried a web cam, it worked. Now I try it, and it doesn't.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this. It just reboots by itself when ever it trys to connect to another computer - FOR VIDEO ONLY, no matter what IM I'm using.

I would try updating to the latest driver from atitech.com. If that doesn't fix it them i dunno really. Is that the only video card in your computer? I know some people have a video card and a tv card and maybe that's screwing it up? Hrm. This is a tricky one.

 

It's fixed .

The problem was, the TV Wonder VE was selected as the video camera on the messengers. All I had to do was change it to the quick cam ...

To answer your question, I also have a 9800pro with the TV Wonder.
