I'm getting ready to set up Skype with my folks and will be using Logitech Quick Cam Pros for video calls. Any problems, comments or observations for this set up?

    Hi lbmest

No that setup seems ok, my uncle whos an avid skype user, has similar logitech hardware and it works fine, he uses Vista BTW.

One thing though a collegue in work mentioned to me last week, was when he set it up straight away a strange girl user name was in his listing, so off hand as I dont use Skype, check into if its possible to be removed from the Skype Directory... kind of one of the reasons I dont use Skype, Windows Live Messenger doesnt have this issue.

Just read a bit more on this and no way as far as I can see to be removed from the Skype directory, so anyone can search on a user name, but uncheck two notification windows in the options menu, "When someone calls me" and "Display a notification in the Windows tray when someone requests my contact details", this may aid in accidently adding contacts you dont want.
