Web designer required.

Hi
In life/work, I have always been the 'ideas man' leaving someone else to shape or build it.
A few years on, I find myself in the same position. Basically, I have an idea, thankfully I have purchased the website, I require. That is as far as it goes.
Now as this is a speculative venture, I cannot afford big bucks to support me(I am a TEFL teacher) .
Despite not being a PC novice, I must admit knowledge of building a website, is just below zero.
The level of design and size would be similar to that of a poker/ casino site. The support I need would require the person to have a basic knowledge in poker/cards.
Can someone point me in the right direction of offer services at a reasonable level?

How complex of a site do you need.
Is it all just going to be information or are you going to need message boards, money deposit etc

The more information you supply about your needs the more we can help

 

What sort of content do you want on the site?

Is it volatile information ( always changing ? )

 

Thanks for the replies. The best I can say is, if you were to look at a poker site, the set up would be very similar.
The problem is, I do not have the first clue about doing this but I know it is far more intricate than a simple website.

 

OK so most Poker Websites have an application ie a poker program with them. Do you plan to have this with your site.

Take this site for example http://www.vcpoker.com/ what would you need from that.

 

It wouldn't be poker, but it would be variations of another card game. But it would be played similar to poker.
