Web pages just freeze, why?

    It's not on any certain site. I will be on some site and the page will freeze and not do anything. I can try to click out but it just does nothing at all. I can move the mouse around but that is all. I can't even pull the page down. I can start a new browser and it will work fine but I can't get rid of the frozen page till i restart the computer. I don't think I have any spyware or anything. What does this sound like to you guys?
