    Is internet radio CD quality? What speed is CD quality?

    192 kbps is CD quality but if you try to stream that off the INTERNET you will need a good broadband. 128 is the normal that you can stream at with only occasional break up and that sounds very good. As to your question web radio will be broadcast at various bit rates from being CD quality down to 64 kbps and is dependent on the broadcast and technology used

    In the case of MP3 streaming 192 kbps is about CD quality (ignoring compression, which shouldn't need to occur).

    As Nick said, depends on the technology being used. There is a streaming medium called AAC+ which allows you to get CD quality at 64kbps, and a reasonable quality at 24kbps! These are particularly exciting, however you need to be using certain software to be able to listen to it.
