I have a client (business) that have several computers (about 20) all networked using windows. Intermittently they are unable to see their own web site. Anyone else in the outside world can see it. I have contacted my hosting company about this and they have no blocks or anything else that would prevent them from seeing this.

Any ideas as to what I can have them check. Thanks.

Well, when you say "their own website" I'm assuming that it is behind the same firewall your 20 clients are? Or on the same subnet? This isnt much but its a start, I would see if you can ping the webserver both the www name and the IP. If it won't come up in a browser but will ping and the outside world can see it then it sounds like either a configuration problem on the clients or some wierd glitch on the firewall. Possibly even the core switch that all the computers are hooked to is going in and out.

It seems as if the probelm comes and goes but I suspected that it was their problem and not mine since my hosting provider has done several tests and has found nothing wrong. They seem to be able to ping it sing the ip but not the URL. I think at this point I have pretty much convinced them it is there problem and they need to hire a REAL network administrator.
