I was searching for a simple solution to allowing access to specific websites for certain workstations and blocking access to all other websites. I have a firewall installed on my network but it only either blocks all or allows all traffic to specific IP addresses. Any help would be appreciated. Thnks.

A simple and not so good solution is to do Static IP and not have DNS servers specified and for those specific sites put them in the HOSTS file...

You might want to set up a proxy server for the network... like Symantec Internet Security and you can block websites and ports with that :)

Does that allow you to do IP-based filtering?

I think it does.... they use it on our school net thingame... 3 schools have an uplink to it... and you can specifically block websites depending on the school so yeah i suppose so...
