Do not know if this is the right forum for this but here goes.
Lately whenever I try to get on Walmart.com my main online ordering site I
keep getting a box saying "Internet Explorer cannot this website, Operation
Aborted" Can this be over ridden somehow so I can order? Other sites work
    fine. OS Win ME.

    Try this.
In internet explorer click Tool>Delete Browsing History. Then click delete Temporary Internet Files and also Cookies. This is assuming you have IE7 or IE8

Any version of Windows earlier than XP is stuck at IE6.
Since the OP is running windows ME, he/she is at IE6. (I run several Windows 2000 computers also stuck at IE 6).

I just fired up a 2K computer to see if the site works with IE 6 and it does. I'm not sure if you will find much in the way of repairing the browser because support for ME eneded in 2006 and Windows 2K ended this past July.

How come they always blame the user?

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

Try another browser, such as Firefox. If you can access/view the site with FF, then it's an IE problem. If not, then there are deeper issues going on, either with the website or with something internal.

Of course they're going to blame you - they certainly can't blame themselves. ;)

In this case, it has to be your computer because I fired up IE6 and had no problem accessing Walmart's site. It is not an IE6 problem or I would not see the site.

My bad - maybe I misworded.

Let's try it again, lschmidt: if you can access the website with Firefox, then there's a problem with your Internet Explorer. ;)

The main page comes up fine,it's when I go to a product or dept. page that this occurs.

I just went to the walmart website with IE6 (on Win2K), and I don't get any errors when going to the product pages.

Do you have Flash Player installed on IE? It seems that there is some Flash content on most of these pages.

Also, as suggested earlier, can you try Firefox or Palemoon - not to replace IE, but to see if it's a problem with your system, connection, or your browser.
