when i try to play games online, specifically "yahoo.com" i get a message which reads "website restore error". It then says "could not return to yahoo.com". Do you have any suggestions to help me fix this problem?

    Hi

What Windows version are you using?
Have you just upgraded from say Vista to Windows 7 by any chance?
What Internet Explorer version are you using or what browser (Firefox, Chrome, Opera etc)?

Has this just started happening? and if so do you remember what software you may have installed just before it started?

What you could try is as those online games are normally Flash and Java based is to install the latest versions of Flash and Java, but first download removal tools for both of these, Flash one is HERE and Java one is HERE, run them both with all browsers closed.

Then download and run CCLeaner and its clearner and registry tools, run the registry one until nothing lists for removal, this will remove any junk old files and temps.

Then install Flash Player from HERE (note if you use Firefox then their is a seperate link listed)

    Then install Java from HERE

    then try your games again.

If that doesnt work, its likely you have a 3rd party addon in your browser and it could be a Toolbar Search thing, to a Security Toolbar an application can add, we need to disable all of these and Internet Explorer has a no addons mode fould in this location Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and open Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), try it and see if it at least loads the page and doesnt error, you wont be able to play the games as with no addons mode Flash and Java is disabled, just want to see if the page crashes on you.

If not then close that version of IE and open your normal one, click Tools, click Manage Add-ons, change the Show setting on the left to All Add-ons then highlight and click Disable on all addons apart from the Adobe Systems (you may notice Adobe ones called AdobePDF Link Helper and AdobePDF Reader ~ disable those two) and Sun Microsystems ones, then try the yahoo games site again and let us know if it works.
