Website serving pages that arent there

Hello,
I have a website that has had an explosion of traffic, apparently (according to awstats) serving 1000's of pages with /~alltworu/timothy/pagename.html . None of these pages are on the server and most are dead links when clicked. It quickly chewed through my websites bandwidth, causing it to go offline overquota.
Lots of traffic apparently coming from Yandex links. Could anyone advise on this. Is this an example of the server being hacked? If anyone can advise on this, much appreciated as Google does not seem to be helping much on this.

If you have the ability to run scans on the server then you could try our cleaning procedure. If you don't have that ability, you will have to check for security issues within the website code and also check to see if if has been modified. Scanners will not typical pickup many infections or security type issues in website code so it is almost impossible for us to really do anything for you related to this. If you have a backup of the website design the predates the problems, you could try using it after deleting the present files and folders.

You may have more luck trying to look for help in the Software Forum where other people may have input on tracking down issues like this in websites.

And yes ~alltworu is tied to Russian porn sites.
