Sorry if I'm not in the correct forum. I've signed up for a couple of health-related email newsletters such as webmd that include a sideshows. I can't access the slides. When I click on Next to access the slides, I get this message in a box (see attachment):
[JavascriptApplication]: Error adding rule: constraint failed
It seems that Javascript is often a method of torture for me; I am unable to access some websites or go the next page in a site when various Javascript messages appear in the lower left corner of the screen. One search comment on this problem said to disable AdBlock which I did: the slideshows still don't work. Thank you for any ideas you all may have to fix this. This is a great site. ec

This question could be asked in software, since you aren't writing it yourself. It would help to know what the box says when you choose Help > About from the menu. (Software name and version/build) It may help to know what other plugins are installed, besides AdBlock.

    Some generic suggestions:
If the software has a safe mode, you could see if the slideshow works with it.
If you post the other various Javascript messages you mentioned, we might be able to tell something from them, but that's far from a guarantee. The one you posted sounds like it could possibly be a database error.

I've disabled AdBlock but attached is a list of all addons: extensions and plugins. I appreciate your help very much. ec

To test if it is one of the addons causing the problem do the following:
fire up FF and click help , select restart with addons disabled. Now go to one safe site (like webmd) and try the slide show. If it works, you know one of the addons is causing the javascript problems.
Since I run Better Privacy and have no problem, we can rule that out. Also enough people run WOT that I think we can rule that out.
That leaves 10 remaining addons to troubleshoot. I'd probably fire up FF and disable 2 of the 10 addons. Try the slideshows. If you have no problems, enable those two and disable the next two. Eventually you should be able to pinpoint the addon or addons that might be causing a problem.

I just disabled a Firefox addon that popped up everytime I tried to access a link in a slideshow on websites: it's an HTTPS addon. I just removed it and now I can access the slideshows. Thank you to all of you who replied to my query with your ideas. It's greatly appreciated. ec
