I’m thinking of starting a homepage, something that might not even qualify for a website. Basically I want a location I can link to files without the onerous restrictions you run into from the free sites. For example, I like BASIC, but the use of visual BASIC to write viruses has caused many sites (MSN and Yahoo come to mind) to disallow the .bas extension. I want to use it for its intended use, and don’t want the hassle of trying to explain what I want to do to a dweeb that can’t tell a zip file from a jpg.

This hypothetical site should only allow me to write to it, but be open to the public for downloading, linking, and viewing. Free is good, but at this point I don’t think anything like that really exists. I don’t need much size, 50 Meg would do me for a long time.

    Any suggestions?
