My exboyfriend put webwatcher on my laptop. I found out and made him un-install it from my computer. Is there any way he can re-install it remotely? And how can I check to make sure that he removed it?
I am not really computer savy so he took advantage of my computer ignorance. Can anyone help so I can protect myself?

    Thanks in advance

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

How did you find out and how do you know he really uninstalled it? This application is not malware and is designed to be invisible. Since this is not really a malware problem, you really should be posting in the Software Forum.

Yes if he knows the passwords to user accounts on your PC or has his own and if there is remote desktop type software installed.

If you don't trust him then to be sure, you will have to reinstall from scratch and change all passwords including the Administrator password. Also only create one new user account for you and us a different user name then in the past.

    Thank you so much.
How I found out. He told me he did it. He then logged in to webwatcher on my laptop and I watched him go to the control panel and uninstall it. He said he couldn't access my laptop now because the program had been taken off. I know he has logmein installed on his own computer but don't know if he put it on mine.
I will have to just transfer all my date and start all over.

I apologize for posting in the wrong area. I'm new to this and still learning. Thank you for your patience and the information. I really appreciate it very much. I will be learning as much as I possibly can from this forum.

    Thank you so much,
    Babe

If he logged into your laptop remotely, then either Webwatcher has a builtin program giving remote access or he used Windows Remote Desktop or some VNC type program (like LogMeIn). You need to make sure all of these are uninstalled or disabled and as stated earlier, you need to change passwords for all user accounts and delete any accounts that he had of his own.
