Weird folder

I've noticed this folder a few times... and deleted it before, but I have a folder that just shows up under the main C: directory named seemingly random number/letters.

Virus scans show no problems. Ad Aware finds nothing.

Looking in the folder I only find a text document that is several hundred lines long. It calls itself Verbose Logging, which when I looked that up says it's not a bad thing... but it's for troubleshooting.

but why would something used for troubleshooting be named totally random letters/numbers?

It also says something about msxml.msi... which I see is a Microsoft thing but I have no clue what it does/means.

So, is this folder ok to keep around? or should I be worried...

I can copy some of the first few lines in here if that would help at all.

    Thanks ahead of time!

It sounds like you are referring to files created by Microsoft Installer when Windows tries to perform updates. These files are typically cleaned up but when an installation fails, the folders and files are left behind.

This is not a malware problem.
