    Hey all,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure out wtf is going on with the new monitor I bought (Acer SB220Q). My motherboard is a Tomahawk B450, and graphics card is a GTX 1050 TI.

When first plugging the monitor into the HDMI port of the graphics card, the "acer" logo appears, then the "arsenal gaming" logo, then nothing. Over the course of the next few minutes a bunch of thin grey vertical lines appear on the monitor with no way of seeing the windows 10 logon screen or anything.

I hooked up my old monitor as a dual monitor setup, and was able to see what I was clicking to get to the device manager and display settings. Windows said all drivers were installed properly (even installed the ones from Acer's site), and the monitor model does show in the device manager. After some messing around with the settings the only way I could get the monitor to display anything other than lines was to change the refresh rate from the 75hz default to 60hz. I could finally see the desktop but there are still faint vertical lines and the montiors brightness seems to flicker for a split second every minute or so.

I have no idea what to do at this point. I figured the monitor would have been a simple plug and play thing, but now I'm dealing with all this BS. Any guidance would be appreciated, and I can provide any additional information needed. Thanks!
