Last week my graphics card went kaput! I got it changed for a similar model and it works fine on websites and other apps but when I go into photoshop to do my work the colours are slightly missing and not looking like they did before the crash.... ive changed monitors and updated drivers but no change...I tried plugginf in a flat screen TV I have and there is no problem it looks fine !!! but I want to use the monitors I have rather than the TV..I have tried all settings and res settings to no availe........get fristrated now...what could it be !!!

    Any ideas?

Its a Radeon 9550, fairly old one, I have downloaded all the relevant driver...or so I think I have, but it just isn't displaying certain colours properly in photoshop, but it does on all other apps and website etc etc... doing me in now....

It could be a Photoshop problem; can you check if there are any updates available for your Photoshop version?

Not trying to send you away, but you could also try to ask in the Photoshop forums; they have quite a few knowledgeable people there.

Yeah I downloaded all the relevant updates, even tried re installing Photoshop...so weird, when I use a TV screen to view it the colours are fine a soon as i plug a monitor in the colours are bleached or missing...so strange!! starting to think its the graphics card as the TV screens will have their own graphics card right?

Tried changing that setting and no change :( I think its the driver compatibility with the monitor! as the TV I am using works fine!

    Oh thanks :)

I am running XP, downloaded the driver for my system( I think)!! but willing to try anything...Im pretty sure its something to do with the new graphics card! its not driving the the monitor correcty!!!

The monitor that I have been using for the last 3 years is an ADVENT 900 been working no problems, then as soon as I changed the graphics card the problem started...I plugged in my 26" Sony LCD TV and it works fine so I thought it was the monitor so went and got another one, linked it up and got te same problem on that one....so I know the problem lies with the new graphic cards compatibilit with monitors as everything is fine with the TV running!
