    Hey
A friend is having a weird issue. Hopefully you can have some thoughts on it:

He has a linksys router plugged into a desktop pc next to the router, and the xbox in his room (maybe 50 feet away) when ever he plays xbox online, the desktop pc cannot surf the web. i fact, i couldn't even open the controls for the router while he is playing. it does not gave a "this page cannot be displayed," ie just sits there. in the status bar it says "web site found" or something like that. just sits there.

all i can think of is that maybe the xbox uses too much bandwith.. or maybe its broadcasting something that is throwing off the pc.

has anyone else ever experienced this? i'm not an xbox guru - never used one. it might be obvious to a guru, some configuration setting maybe. or can a firmware update be done?

    What do you think?
    Jim

well, the problem seems to be that you have a xbox. ;)

Hrm... I hear the router shouldnt be closer than 3 feet from the comp... i dont know why.. Also, Ive always used Gamespy and Gamespy Tunnel to play my xbox games free online, and ive never had the problem... maybe its just crappy xbox live
