Welcome Screen

    So this is strange. Several updates were downloaded from HP and Microsoft and now whenever the monitor goes to screen saver, it defaults to the welcome screen. When I click on my user ID it resumes with all the programs there, just annoying that it is doing this now.

    OK, I think I found it under screen saver, the setting was changed to display welcome screen on resume.

    Go to Control Panel > Display Properties > Screen Saver, and make sure the box next to "on resume..." is not checked. Then click "Power" then click the "Advanced" tab, and make sure to uncheck the box for "prompt for password...." and be sure to save the settings. That should do it.
