Talk about nervous!!!! I've been doing excellent on the practice test, but you know how it is...the more of a reality it is, the more nervous you get!!!! I HATE test anxiety!!!!

Wish me luck, and I guess I'll be back later this afternoon to let you know how it went!!

Fortunately my wife let me take the summer off, so I didn't have to hassle with a job on top of all the other!!

Basically I just dived in head first in the online course and would study for a few hours anf then when my brain felt like scrambled eggs, I would go work on the house a bit. For the most part though, the house only took about a week to get it situated for the most part, then I spent the next week studying on the internet...a couple days of practice test, then went in today and took the test.

I'm just glad the hardware part is over!! A lot of it was boring humdrum, since I've built/worked on PCs for a couple of years now, so It was hard to overcome the boredom enough to soak it all in!! However...after taking the test...I'll definately say there is a LOT more to it than the typical hardware that your average hobbyist would be firmiliar with!! Plus hobbyist (atleast myself, anyway) sometimes don't learn the text book way of things, so it is kind of frustrating to convert the old ways into the correct, by the book ways for the sake of the test!!!!

Now that the hardware part is out of the way...I am a little more excited to jump into the OS part because I know there is a LOT that I don't know that I am curious to learn, as far as the in and outs and operations of an OS!!!! We'll see how that goes!!

Once I get the A+ out of the way, then it is on to the Network+!!!!

Yeah...Exactly!!!! It really helps having that extra sense of pressure on top of it all!!!! Especially since the wife will be going on maternity leave here real soon...I would hate to spend more of the savings!!!!

    Congrats Roger :)

I've enrolled in a few courses that work offer.. .mainly because they are free and will give me some certs at the end, and reading the text books or PDFs your correct the textbook way is different to my hands on approach so I will have to learn to bite my fingers and do it the proper way ;)
