Well im single again.

I donno if its a good thing or a bad thing. I have never been in a "serious" relationship any longer then a week. Now I find my self at the end of a 5 year long one. Living with one another for nearly five years then suddenly being alone again isn't going to be the easiest thing to get used to. I feel generally numb. But in the words of Seven of Nine, I will adapt.

 

Do you need a hug? I have hugs.

All I can tell you, is that most Ex's are "Ex" for a reason. And yes, it's hard and painful but after time has a chance to inject some clarity you find you are better off.

But srsly, I have hugs.

As said, usually when things settle down and you have time to mellow, you normally realise that you're 'prolly better off in most ways. Better than trying to make something work that just aint happening. It still hurts, but makes it bearable at least. Keep the old noggin occupied, and ya, time does heal, (most) of it.

 

I find killing virtual characters on the interwebs to be be cathartic..

 

...So, you're saying J00 need a virtual catheter.

Wow... I was sitting here yesterday reading this thread, but wasn't quite ready to post.

Having just hit the 5 year mark, I have to admit, I'm really not too sure what I would do if I was suddenly single again. Probably after finding a new place to live, I would spend a lot more time on line for a while. Less chances of getting 'hurt' again, then I would be out there doing what I do, and who knows....

I have a tendency to locate individuals who are looking for physical comfort without a lot of difficulty, so that part is no big deal, but you do get used to having someone around and such.

So... the moral to this post is to take care of yourself and do your best to have a good time without getting down. It's OK to be sad or down a little, but do not let it run your life.
