I wasn't sure the best place to put this, so I'm putting it here. Since this is the most relevent.

I need to build a gaming machine - From parts - and I need to keep it under $400 AND be able to run WoW and PSPX (Art program) Simultaneously with no lag.

The Bare Min System requirements to run WoW are:
    Minimum System Requirements

Windows® System XP/XP64/Vista/Vista64/7** OS (with the latest Service Packs or updates):

    - Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+
    - 1 GB or more of RAM
    - NVIDIA® GeForce® FX or ATI Radeon™ 9500 video card or better
    - 25.0 GB available HD space
    - 4X DVD-ROM drive (Downloadable Installer also available)
    - Broadband Internet connection
    - Keyboard/mouse

OPerating System: Windows Vista or Windows XP, with latest service packs installed
    RAM:
512 MB RAM – Win XP
768 MB RAM – if using Windows Vista
    Processor: 1 GHz processor
    Hrad Disk: 1.5 GB
Display: 24-bit color display, 1024×768 resolution
    Microsoft DirectX 9.0c or higher
    DVD drive
    Additional requirements for select features
Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, WordPerfect MAIL or other MAPI-compliant email software (to email from the product)
Apple QuickTime 7 or higher (to play .mov movie files)

This seems to indicate I need to stick with XP, and that's not a problem I have an install CD. Keeping this limitation in mind, what would you suggest? You can make a parts list from Newegg and I'm so ok with that.

$400 is a bit tight for an entire rig... what can you migrate over from your old one? We'll assume you have monitor, keyboard, and mouse already.

Yeah, hardware, peripherals are all accounted for. I can also migrate 4G of 1G ram sticks

What type of RAM? We'll need a motherboard that matches them.

More questions for you... work was slow so I started crawling around Newegg looking at parts, and it's hard to stay within $400 :p At least you don't need an OS, that's a big saver. Do you need a hard drive? Are you okay with buying the bare bones now and add components one by one down the road?

I didn't hear back from you, so I went and found these. Doesn't look like they come with a video card, but you can easily find a cheap one to add, and still stay within budget, I think.
