Ok, i followed all of the steps in the guide for "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide". Got done with all of it, but after running combofix.exe, gave me a reboot while i was outside for a smoke, came back in and explorer.exe wasn't loading, so all i was staring at was my background to my desktop. Everything seems to work fine when i manually launch explorer from Task manager. But still worried i may have missed something...:(

Can you tell me what these are:
    c:\windows\ˆê‹R“–ç‚RUninst.exe
    c:\windows\ˆê‹R“–ç‚R.scr
    c:\program files\ãŠCƒAƒŠƒXŒ¶žÙ’c

Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 3"
    Java(TM) 6 Update 7

Please reset msconfig to normal startup mode.

You userinet file appears to be infected:
Please use windows explorer to find and copy:
    C:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\userinit.exe
Then paste it into the system32 folder and the system32/dllcache folder.

It is possible that other system files are also infected. If so, it will make your system unreliable.

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Now use windows explorer to find and delete:
    c:\windows\system32\drivers\af843960.sys
    C:\-2000271173

Now reboot your system and download and install:
    Java Runtime 6

You should not allow all users to have admin. privileges.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file.

    Ok, thanks for the reply^^....
The first 2files are Ikkitousen anime screensaver files. And the last one, Is a Touhou game location.

Ok, i didn't notice this till after did the rest of the steps and reopened firefox and noticed you edited. So, i did this before running the getlogs bat.
Should add that while doing this step, Avast poped up as soon as i copied the file into system32, saying that it found Malware rootkit in the dllcache one, so i selected move to chest and then copied the file into that folder.

I did get a success message when i ran the fixME.reg, i created.

I was gonna edit my first post and add that, only way to get explorer.exe to launch was with task manager but, still does not load after reboot. Since i didn't explain that too well.

Your logs look a lot better. We still have a few things to clean up.
Run this: Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Now use add/remove programs to uninstall:
Messenger Plus! Live --> the cause of most LOP infections!!

You have two AV programs running, choose one and remove the other:
    avast! Antivirus
    PCPitstop AV

Now we have leftovers from when you had AVG:

Open notepad and copy and paste the following text in the quote box into the window:
    Save this as fix.bat
Choose to save as all files.
Doubleclick fix.bat and let the program run.
A small black dos window will flash, this is normal.

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file and a new COmbo log.

Be sure to tell us how things are running.

Sorry for the rather long delay, i got busy and forgot about this thread.....

As for the other log did you mean another combofix log?.

Everything seems to be running fine, explorer loads up every time now^^.....and everything seems to be running pretty smooth.

Good to know....just run CCleaner and follow it up with running:
    ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

      • Delete the C:\combofix folder from combofix (if it exists)

    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    7. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
