Yeah, I saw this also. Bizarre.

Some animal experts are charging the boat operator got too close or otherwise antagonized the critter.

The boat operator was reported to say "He tasks me! He tasks me, and I shall have him! I'll chase him round the Moons of Nibia, and round the Antares Maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give him up!"

Uhh, no - wait . . . that was Cap'n Ahab in Melville's Moby Dick. I guess the boat operator actually said something like "AAAAAAHHHHRGGGGGHHHHHH" and then had to go and change his pants . . .

    :-D

oops . . . I stand corrected - I've been reminded that the quote was actually from Khan Noonien Singh in "Star Trek II, The Wrath of Kahn" and just alluded to Melville's work.

The actual quote from Moby Dick was; "He tasks me; he heaps me. Aye, aye! and I'll chase him round Good Hope, and round the Horn, and round the Norway Maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give him up."

With all due respect to Herman . . . I kinda prefer Khan's version! ;)

Yes, I did see that on TV Baz. There's a lot of whale watching off the coast of Monterey, Calif actually. Think it's more common then people think. Surly would want to be in a bigger boat.

We have 2 special "white" whales that swim up and down our Cairns coast.

    Chech out: http://www.migaloo.com.au/
See attachment. Let us hope that no harm comes to these 2 white whales.

See . . . this kind of thing is why you should just stay indoors. Nature can't jack with you if you stay out of it . . . :p
