What a blunder!! Need user account help.

I am using my moms old laptop. A Dell Inspiron 8200 with windows xp home Spk 3. Laptop is password protected, I know the current password (she has changed it several times) don't know why, she lives alone. While trying to clean up and uninstall Kodak software I got the I dont have permission error. So, go to user accounts and see that she had us both as admin. So, I don't know what I was thinking, limited hers. Now, I can't find my user account. If I go to Security Center Properties (local computer),> log on tab,> this account,> browse,> Select user folder,> Advanced,> find now,> then under Names (RDN) is:
Administrator
ASPNET
Guest
Help Assistant
LOCAL SERVER
Moms name
My name
NETWORK SERVER
SUPPORT_
SUPPORT_

I dont dare mess with this because I am not familiar.


I have gone to computer managemnet>local users> says I don't have snap in & must use Control panel> user account

All avenues lead to message of must have admin. priv.

 

Have you tried in Safe Mode?

 

Did you try in your mom's account? It might have to do with the password. :confused

 

when I go to user accounts the only account that shows is her limited account and the only options I have are to change the picture or change the password.
