Started off with a loud pump

Finished with loud pump, fried 9800 pro and 512mg of ram down

Those AMD64's and X800 vid cards are looking attractive.

Does anyone know if they are as hard to cool as the XP and 9800 ranges

the x800 pro is probably easier to cool than the 9800xt, iirc. the x800 is a nice, cool card overall. if you're going to the watercooling end for the video card, the x800 is a very good choice. but for speed and overclocking, i'd go for the 6800gt. i've had the opportunity to play with both and i'd definitely go for the 6800 line if it has to come to that. very nice card, but a tad harder to cool.

amd64... i've only played with it on my laptop, but i believe mine (the 3400+) is spec'ed for 63.5 watts, and that's lower than the northwood atm. so you shouldn't have a problem.
