What am I doing wrong?

I tried to burn a lesson that I recorded on my mp3 player. Using Nero I edited the file in the wave editor and then burned it to CD. When completed I received an error message that the burn was not completed. I played the cd to see what occurred and was able to listen to the cd for several minutes then it went dead. What could I be doing wrong? Any advice?

 

Questions:

1. Did the MP3 you recorded play through?
2. Did the edited file play through?
3. What method did you use to try to burn it?

With Nero, I would recommend that you use the 'Make Audio CD' function, and simply put the MP3 in the list, and let nero do the conversion...

 

I am a novice at this. Is there a how to instruction out there that would help me understand what I am doing? I copied from my mp3 player the session and saved it in wav format so I could listen to it on any of my players. As I stated I did this in the Wave editor. Is this where I should have done it? I listened to the recording in the wave editor and everything sounded ok. If I record it to an mp3 recorder does that mean I can only burn in the mp3 format for it to burn?

 

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend you save in WAV format.
Here's the procedure I use to burn MP3s and WMAs as an audio CD:

1. Open Nero Start Smart
2. Find the Make Audio CD button, and press it.
3. Ensure the destination is the correct CDRW drive
4. Under source, add your MP3
5. Click Burn, and follow the prompts.

This has worked flawlessly for me on many occasions. You CAN convert MP3 to audio CD format pretty easily this way.

 

I tried this step by step and received the same error message. I printed out the Nero report but I can't make heads or tails out of it. I tried to request assistance from Nero but have not heard from them. Just showed a write error. I am befuddled! Don't know where to turn for assistance.
