What are GVI files?

    I have a couple of video files which I was able to play fine until one day Windows media player says it couldn't play them because they're GVI files. What has happened? How can I get them back to what they were?

    dlb, you've come up trumps again! Thank you very much. I downloaded the player and it works! Even better than Windows Player. :p
