What is the trend in operating systems usage?

Statistics are important information. From the statistics below, collected from W3Schools' log-files over a period of five years, you can extract the long and medium-term trends of operating system usage.
    OS Platform Statistics

Windows XP is the most popular operating system. The Windows family counts for about 90%:

Sorry, Broadband connection crashed (very rare for my ISP) before I could finish trying to tidy up. :( The link is a lot easier to read, though.

Well it looks like XP is gradually on it's way out and Vista will likely be only a not so fond memory in a couple of years. It seems like I know a lot of people who have gone to 7 already, there are even a couple of large companies in the area who have plans in place to convert.

But where is 98 and ME??:-D:wave

Got to be a bogus study. I don't see DOS on the list either Brandypeppy. :-D

The numbers change from site to site depending on where you go. I do like the quote from the site mentioned above: ;)

PS: As for the validity of the statistics, I cannot comment. I just listed it as a trend on which way OS's are going. As for 98,ME and DOS, the percentages are likely to be very small, relative to XP for instance. IMO.
