what are you doing?

im at work i feel like crap, probably look like crap but i aint looking in a mirror to find out and im bored out of my mind and i dont even start for another 15mins!
so what are all you doing are you at home or work or ..............?

 

Drinking. Vodka. And trying to fix (of all things) an ancient Betamax player that my first wife and I received as a wedding gift in 1983. I want to convert to DVD the old beta tapes of my kids when they were little (trips to the zoo, etc). The thing worked when I stored it, but the rubber parts appear to have decayed with time. I think the electronics are OK - I just need to replace all the belts and bushings. I think I can fabricate what I need - I only need it to last about six hours of play time, then I can pitch it.

 

3:00 am, time to sleep a little.....wobbles

 

Sitting at home feeling crappy. I got a cold last thursday, gave it to my mum, who gave it to a colleague, who gave it to another, who then gave it back to my mum, and now I've got it again. I hate mutating colds

But I'm going on holiday on Friday so thats not too bad

I've been into Watford to do shopping with my sister. Came back with nothing, but saw a bus crash into a shop which took 2 people under it, horrible sight. Everyone on the bus was ok, just not sure about the 2 people who were/are under it.

Morning!! Drinking my first coffee from my new thermal mug as my hubby swiped my previous one; reading this, checking my mail and wondering if I am going to melt today as it is going to be in the mid 90's again! How do people continue to function in this heat...everyone skips about their chores here as if it is in the 60's. Seriously thinking about getting a No2 haircut here

 

90 degrees isn't all that bad. 90 degrees with humidity, is horrible.

 

Well now I'm trying to move my website because I'm just sick and tired of the crappy free hosting deal I've got. To start with it was great, it was fast and had a good CP. But the owners occasionally disable my website for no readily apparent reason! And right now it's not working full stop. It's just starting to tick me off.

So I'm moving it to my ISP's recently upgraded CGI host... which one hopes might be more reliable! Plus if they annoy me I can phone them up and complain at them (as I often do... it works too, they always sort my problems out ). Only a bit of a problem is that their portal isn't working currently

Doing my morning routine: drinking water, reading through the usual forums and weblogs, and listening to a nice mix of Tenacious D live bootlegs and DVDA.

Probably going out later to pick up some new poker chips. Probably should research some stores around the area that will actually have a good selection.

 

Lunch break, then pull a fuel tank from a 3/4 ton that's covered in dirty coal dust and crap. Plus it's 28C, too hot for that job. I don't know what that is in farenheit. Someone can convert if they want. 28 X 9 divide by 5, then add 32. I don't think I spelled farenheit right. Work sucks.

 

Conversion chart says its 82 degrees over there...sucks!

it's 10 pm, I'm drying laundry, waiting for a pot off coffee to perk,surfing dev art(and here of course) and waiting on a render to finish, actually two ..one on this one and one of the PC downstairs..lol

 

all your lifes make mine seem so easy i dont really do anything as i still life with my dad (and his misses) so if im not out im sat on my computer playing games, Mace Griffin and Juised mainly at the min lol but i dont have the net at home so only able to post on here in the day when im at work

 

Right now? 10:25pm in Honolulu, just came from a full day's meeting schedule, followed by two hospitality suites with free drinks and incredible seafood appetizers. Now I'm sitting on my balcony (28th floor) looking out over the city with my feet propped up and a mai tai in my hand.

It's not really a bad life...

i weigh 13 stone i dont know what that is in Lbs or Kgs but im 6'1 so i aint got a clue if im over weight or not but im now a 34 waist i used 2 be a 32 so i wanna loose some lol

 

13 Stone (182 lbs) is a good weight for 6'1". The 'Battle of the Bulge' is a age thing, the older you get the harder it is to fight. Crunches and running will go a long way to fighting the 'Battle'.

Darn. I don't want to run. But I can't let myself get any pudgier. I'm pushing 220 (6'0"). I'm broad-shouldered, so it really doesn't translate into much more than a bit of a belly, but I would much prefer to have my 6-pack back. Somehow managed to keep most of it through college and then had to go and graduate and get lazy. Sitting at a desk all day doesn't do much for keeping you fit.

 

I hear you, 6'2", 218 lbs, almost 45; the doctors don't want me to run anymore. Try walking or bicycling.

 

Difference is I'm 24, I don't haven an excuse besides being a lazy bum.

I've been thinking about getting a bike, actually. Should probably stop thinking and start saving.

 

I'm at home in my Homer Simpson PJ shorts, I just had pizza and watched Curb Your Enthusiasm. My friend is calling me in two hours and I'm going to help him move.


Walking is good exercise, I don't bicycle as much. My tires are flat and I'm too lazy to do something about it.

I'm 6' 7", 220 lbs. I usually bicycle every weekend for my exercise.

 

Got to get my bicycle fixed, some IDIOT ran me off the road. Both rims are bent beyond repair. That's a couple hundred just for rims.

 

Egad! Hmm, basically I want to downgrade/upgrade my rims on my bike. I have an old Trek that I bought 18 years ago. Still looks brand new. Now that I live in the city, I need to replace the mountain bike tires with street tires.

Or just buy a city style( or hybrid) Trek. Interesting thing about this bike, is that it has disc brakes instead of the normal brakes. Though, I haven't really been keeping up on the new stuff on bike technology.
