WHAT "bad" websites?

Please excuse my naïveté: exactly what types of websites am I supposed to steer clear of to avoid contracting malware infections?

 

additions: ANY links found in emails you have not been expecting/want to receive, including ones which look like they are "official", any email attachments, even if they are from a trusted source (they can be infected en route)

 

My one and only malware infection came from a free registry or driver update scanner. I don't remember the site but I think the site was reputable but their advertiser was the problem. So, I guess, just one more thing to possibly avoid.

 

If your one of those person that tries to get things online that in real life you have to buy like shows, movies, songs, and you google saying where can I view this or that.. and they come up as website.. well going to them or clicking on them can give you bad things. Because people are always tring to view or get something that should be paid for. Same thing for porn sites and downloading things on your computer will cause great danger.
