what disc format is best to use when using video recorder

    ive just got myself an lg drt389h dvd recorder and am confused about the different formats available. ie dvd- dvd+ and dvdram, is one better than the other?, i want to rewrite over the discs.

    What I would get in the way of Disks are DVD either + or - DVD RW disks (the RW is Re-Write) so those are best to use over and over again, I do have a DVD RW recorder that handles DVDRAM but they are expensive compaired to DVDRW and for me I thought a pain in the behind.

    The DVD formats of disk are prety much the same but I tend to get DVD+RW disks over DVD-RW disks.

    As far as non rewritable dvds, we always use dvd-r for best compatibility with players and home computers.
