What do you think about the new Google?

Hi, all.

Google has unveiled a new feature, called Google Instant. I've examined it a bit. If you don't know what this is, go to Google, turn on the feature, and then, well, google yourself to see what it does.

I was wondering how you feel about this? Is it (as some claim) a wonderful new way to make searching the web faster and easier? Is it (as others claim) a wonderful new way for Google to make money from more advertisements?

And I also notice no way to turn off the autocomplete feature in Google any more, or at least, none that I have found. This is true whether or not you enable Google Instant. (Well, I lie, I found one way around it. Just start all search terms with "-{obscene word of your choice here}" ) This annoys me, but as a friend commented, change is the only constant in the computer world.

Guess he's right, I changed my home page from Google to MajorGeeks.

It means it displays the search as autocomplete not only the search line.

Yawn. Still sometimes not relevant search finds.

About Google Instant (seriously) Google Instant

 

Now I just want Google Quantum,it enters the search field before I even touch the keyboard,finds the new paparazzi pictures of Jessica Alba,spends a few minutes looking at them for me and saves any good ones into my NewFolder.

Then Google can debit my account for any crap I would have bought after being brainwashed by the ads while looking for said pictures of Jessica Alba.

This would save me like,23 hours in a day.
