What does Google Earth, Quicktime and WOW share?

My machine is clean and absolutely malware and virus free. When using Google Earth, Quicktime and World of Warcraft, my computer locks up immediately after launching them. Does anyone know what dll file they share or what registry item may be corrupt? Or am I even in the ballpark?

 

What anti virus are you using? Operating System/Service Pack? The specs of the PC?

 

Thanks for the response guys. I'm sure I meet all required specs and I've disabled all scanners, firewalls, antivirus etc. I've also un-installed and re-installed all the problem programs several times, updated all drivers in my video, sound, mother board, etc.

I'm pretty CPU savvy, but this one has me stumped. This has been an issue since I had a virus a year ago, that the malware section of this site helped me with. They did a great job and are worth their weight in gold. That's why I figured it had to do with a corrupt or missing dll file, as this has been an issue since getting rid of the virus.
