    Nightly ?

I've been using nightly for a while now, and am on the 9/11/11 update.
Becoming more and more stable, and more addon friendly .
Also, how do nightly, Aurora and Firefox relate to each other as projects ?
From what I see, Aurora is pre-beta firefox, and post-nightly firerfox ?
Then why are they still working on nightly ?
Are the nightly/Aurora just pre-pre-beta and pre-beta firefox, respectively ?
It all seems a little confusing .

Honestly, I feel Firefox has lost their way. IMHO only, I feel they need to have end life cycles. In other words, 3 should not be updated anymore. Alos, too many versions. The average computer user does not need this many choices in a browser; this is exactly what held Linux down. I hope 9 is faster and friendlier because they have been losing their way. I have seen it 1,000 times, companies get big and lose their way and what made them popular. It takes years for the end user (less knowledgeable people who comment without a lot of knowledge) to realize what has happened. Ad-Aware is a perfect example. The company and program that were so good that the torch was passed to them from Gibson who is believed to have discovered spyware because they did such a good job. Years later the program got so large that the quality suffered, certain malware was allowed to exist, bloated and more. It went on for years as a suggested program while others were doing a better job. I would say the timeline from Ad-Aware becoming useless to people finally realizing it was about 5 years.

I think you are probably correct. I see evidence around the net of a shift more toward Opera and others. I don't see people really going back to IE . I just don't understand how Mozilla is blind to what they are doing to FF . Not too long ago, I went back to FF 3.x.x and within a couple of days it had forced updates without my permission back to the version I wanted to get away from ! !
Although Nightly isn't fully compatible, it is stable enough and doesn't force updates.
