What else do you use for optimization

Ok, I use DK...I know some use O&O for defrag, either one. I use MSAS and Acronis Privacy suite for pop ups, and spyware.

I generally don't use a virus program, and in the 11 years I've been on the net, I've never gotten a virus. If I did, my stuff is backed up anyhow on RW DVDs (the important stuff anyhow).

So what else should I be using? Now that I have gotten re-interested in my computer, I am exicted to keep it the best running that I can, and keep the computer as "clean" as possible.

Any suggestions you guys have in addition to what I listed is great. Is there a reg clean program out there that is truly worth it? Any other ideas as well...

This is a good registry cleaner program, with an automatic backup:

CCleaner is a good drive cleaner, and although it has a registry cleaning function, it leaves a lot to be desired.

 

If you don't use one, how would you know if you have never gotten a virus? I don't mean to be rude or anything, but that just makes you sound ignorant to the various dangers you can catch on the net.

 

well, if i had gotten a virus, i would expect to have the foggiest clue about it.
