what has happened to our children

I realize that in this world of instant news things are reported far more than in my younger days but i am sure we did not have the number of young murderers that we have today.

I have been following this for a couple of days, a 15 year old boy is being charged with the murder of a 15 year old girl having beaten her to death with a brick.

Here in Belgium a young woman (26) has just been sentenced to 30 years in jail for murder after cutting the straps on another woman's parachute so that it would not open.

Am i being cynical or is the world descending into uncontrollable anger ?

 

I don't think cynicism has anything to do with it, Bill - the world, especially the meaner, street-wise side of it, is going to shit.

My wife is the ESL (English as a Second Language) coordinator for a mid-size school district, so she gets to see the seedier underside of our public education system - and I'm telling you, it's a zoo. Every day, there's a new horror story.

If the children are any indication of what's going on in the world, then we are in a lot of trouble.
